Practicing medicine in Northern Michigan offers unique challenges and opportunities. NPO was founded by a group of local physicians to respond to those challenges and to enhance the practice experience by providing support, information and education.

NPO is one of the largest organizations of its kind in the state, dedicated exclusively to supporting physicians in the practice of medicine.

HHS Announces Website

The U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) recently took a significant step to educate patients and employers about healthcare reform by launching www.healthcare.gov . This interactive website contains personalized and comparable insurance option information, preventative care services and tips, a tool to compare hospital quality information, and other educational resources about the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. HHS is expected to continually update the Website with new information as it becomes available.
